Zilvermeeuw
A cruise right through National Park the Biesbosch.
We will start from Drimmelen, which is situated next to the largest excavated yacht harbour of Europe. Major changes have taken place over the last few years, implementing projects of ‘allowing the river some space’ in combination with natural development. Former agricultural polders have been given back to nature. Since these polders serve as flood catchment areas for the Maas and Waal, these polders are partly under water. As a result many beautiful birds visit the area! Partly due to the shallow water, vessels with shallow draft were built to sail through this area. The comfortable ships have heating and are equipped with toilets, a bar and a unique panorama deck. This provides the opportunity to overlook the polder dykes for miles.
During the two hour cruise, starting from Drimmelen, the entire area is crisscrossed. The skipper will explain about the things you see underway. There is a bar on board where you can get a snack and a drink.
